No prior experience is required\, everyone is welcome to participate!This project focuses on building energy-efficient homes for families in need of safe and affordable housing. Every home we build is sold to a qualified low-income family through Habitat's Homeownership Program.\nWhat to Expect:Please wear work-appropriate clothing (shorts are okay) and closed-toed shoes are required. Dress for the weather and bring a refillable water bottle.Each shift begins with a Habitat introduction\, safety orientation\, and work assignment overview.Volunteers will work under the guidance of a Habitat Construction Supervisor.Afternoon shifts run from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.Tools & Safety:Habitat provides all tools\, safety glasses\, and hard hats.You may bring your own hand tools\, masks\, gloves\, and safety gear\, but please do not bring power tools.Age Requirement:Volunteers must be 16 or older.Those under 18 must have parental consent.\nIf you have any questions\, call (509) 824-2164or email jbrauner@habitat-spokane.org.
